Saturday 31st August 2019 saw the first Kenilworth Masters Development day at the brand new facilities at Warwick University’s Sports Hub. A fun and informative day was had by all, allowing us the opportunity to learn about and participate in injury prevention, land training, tips on how to motivate ourselves through training, competition, pain and injury through Sports Psychology and time in the pool too that will hopefully lead to some vast improvements in all of our Front crawl techniques. The food was very welcome too, fuelling the day especially the curry and drinks afterwards.
Here’s some lovely feedback we received:
Brilliant day. Great fun. Great company. Thanks to all involved for their hard work in making this happen…. and for THE best gluten free bacon rolls 😊🏊♂️🐧 Karen M
A big thank you to all the organisers and to Jill for the Pilates, Stuart for the circuit training, Roy for the technique session, and an interesting sports psychology talk from Rob. Ben
Thanks so much for organising today. I really, really enjoyed it – not just all the activities but taking time out to chat with the other swimmers too. Helen T
Hello Kenilworth Masters. A massive thank you for Development Day yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done to tutors out front who didn’t dictate (as some courses do) but had a two way involvement. Hope I didn’t interfere too much?
Thought exercises were tough and appreciated the instructors ability to wait for me on occasions. Only 93% off my body hurts this morning. The doctor says I should be back to normal within a week or two! My headstand was because I wanted to see KMSC from a different angle. Not showing off, honestly! (see photo above)
KMSC is a warm lovely club.
For those who didn’t attend…….get your money ready for next time.
Arthur (aged 84!)
……better get thinking about the next one???
